Currently awaiting planning determination, we led the design team to bring 2 terraces of former MoD houses back to residential use for the Comhairle to provide much needed Key Worker Housing in the Uists.

We developed the design to provide accessibility and a much improved building fabric and layout to set an exemplar of how the houses that make up much of Balivanich can benefit from a deep retrofit based on fabric-first principles.

The proposals have dealt with a complex flooding issue, dealing with SEPA and establishing a route forward in liaison with the COmhairle development and planning team.
