We have designed the extension to an existing cottage near Castlebay in Barra. Taking advantage of the fine views to Kismuil Castle, the proposals provide an accessible entrance to the extension which provides modern, sustainable living accommodation and 2 additional bedrooms, joined to the existing cottage via a new entrance link.

The design has dealt with existing flooding issues by raising the extension onto piers, which also provides seclusion and enhances the views from the feature corner window.
